Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation

Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (ECMHC) is a prevention-based approach that pair a mental health consultant with adults who work with infants and young children in the different settings where they learn and grow, such as child care, preschool, home visiting programs, foster care agencies and nurseries.

Mental health consultation is not therapy. It is a systems- level intervention that helps equip caregivers to facilitate children’s healthy social and emotional development.

ECMHC has been shown to:

  • Improve children’s social skills and emotional functioning

  • Promote healthy relationships

  • Reduce challenging behaviors

  • Reduce the number of suspensions and expulsions

  • Improve classroom quality

  • Reduce provider stress, burnout, and turnover

  • Improve caregiver confidence

Group Therapy

Therapy groups are a great option for those who cannot currently commit the time or monitory resources needed for traditional individual or family therapy services. Groups provide a non-judgmental, supportive space to connect with a highly-trained mental health professional as well as others who are experiencing therapy needs similar to those you may be experiencing.

We do not currently have any therapy groups running but we offer

  • Social Emotional Learning Skills Group (for children ages 4-6)

  • Teen Depression Group (online)

  • Parenting Support Group (online)
