Meet The Founder

Rose Mesick, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

I am passionate about holding space for healing and creating opportunities for sustainable change for individuals from all walks of life. I am a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience providing therapeutic support to children, teens, and adults. I celebrate the unique perspectives and worldviews that each of my clients bring to our work together. I support my clients in identifying and utilizing their existing strengths to enhance resilience, confidence, and authenticity in their daily lives.

My approach to counseling incorporates evidence-based techniques and a warm, collaborative style to ensure that my clients feel empowered and engaged in their therapeutic journeys. Specializing in complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and childhood emotional and behavioral health, I employ an integrative and personalized approach that meets each client where they are, providing supportive connections and genuine empathy to nurture growth and emotional wellness.

Originally from the Midwest, I attended graduate school and began my career working in non-profit organizations in Chicago. My experiences there firmly ingrained in me the importance of community and connection during times of crisis. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, yoga, swimming, volleyball, traveling and exploring all that Colorado has to offer!

The proverb “It takes a village to raise a child,” is generally thought to have roots in West African cultural tradition where the collective community shares responsibility for the care of children and other vulnerable members of society.

Humans are social beings and have, throughout history, come together for fellowship and support in times of trauma, loss and need. Our practice honors this by providing specialized therapy and counseling that focuses on the power of the therapeutic relationship.

At Village Mental Health Center, we value community and human connection as a source of strength and healing for our Colorado Springs neighbors. We recognize that all members of the community are interconnected and that the success and well-being of the community as a whole is dependent on the success and well-being of each of its members.
